Interstate 84 was backed up for several miles following a wrong-way, head-on crash with injuries in Putnam.

The eastbound crash took place around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2 on the Exit 19 (Route 312) ramp in Southeast, said the New York State Police.

Eastbound traffic was backed up to at least Bullet Hole Road until the crash was cleared by around 10 a.m.

No information was available regarding the seriousness of the injuries.
